Spot It, Plot It

Photograph any spot in your city. Get a heat estimate, a local plan, and a clear view of where shade and trees would help most.

First city: Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra

The problem

Cities are heating up, but warnings don't say where to act.

Hot spots are invisible

People feel heat but can't tell which streets, courtyards or rooftops are most exposed.

Warnings have no local action

"It will be hot" doesn't say what to do on your street or school ground.

Planting is guesswork

Trees go where there is space, not always where they would cool the most.

1–7°F hotter by day

The US EPA reports that daytime air temperatures in urban areas are about 1 to 7°F (0.6 to 3.9°C) higher than in outlying areas, and about 2 to 5°F (1.1 to 2.8°C) higher at night. US EPA

489,000 heat deaths a year

The WHO estimates about 489,000 heat-related deaths each year between 2000 and 2019, 45% of them in Asia. Deaths among people over 65 rose by about 85% between 2000–2004 and 2017–2021. WHO

Trees make a measurable difference

A review of 308 studies, cited by the US EPA, found urban forests were on average 3.0°F (1.6°C) cooler than urban areas without greenery. US EPA

How it works

The AI perceives and explains. Code calculates. You confirm.

  1. AlertLive weather, air quality and hazard feeds raise a local alert with a "Scan this area" action.
  2. ScanTake a photo. We check quality, strip location data from the image, and never store the picture.
  3. UnderstandA vision model returns strict structured data: surfaces, trees, shade and free space.
  4. CalculateDocumented formulas, not the AI, compute the sun, shade clock, surface heat and tree scenarios.
  5. ExplainThe AI only words the result. A guard rejects any number it invents.
  6. ConfirmYou correct what is wrong. Corrections become feedback data and earn in-app rewards.

Cool-or-Cooked, A to F

One grade per spot, always labelled an estimate with a confidence level.

Compare "no action" with "plant trees" as the canopy grows.

Verified weather reports

Submit a photo and tag; it is cross-checked against Open-Meteo for that time and place.
